Mercer | Mettl Appoints Kangan Shekhar As VP-Human Resources & Special Projects

Mercer | Mettl has appointed Kangan Shekhar as VP-Human Resources and Special Projects to strengthen its HR operations and expand its global presence.
She will be responsible for internal collaboration within Mettl and Marsh McLennan.
Shekhar will also play a key role in aligning organisational development and effectiveness with achieving Mercer | Mettl's growth objectives.
Shekhar comes with a rich and vast experience of nearly two decades in Human Resources. She is a proven leader in the mergers and acquisitions domain across industries, including banking, finance, technology, and pharmaceuticals.
She will be driving the performance management processes to support a high-performance culture at an individual and organisational level. She will also lead the Rewards and Recognition strategy to help achieve the organisation's strategic objectives.

Shekhar started her career with Hewitt Associates in 2003, where she spent close to 4 years before moving on to the industry, with upwards of 3 years in American Express and Barclays Finance, respectively, in their rewards teams. Her scope of work expanded beyond India to countries in South Asia and the Middle East.
She headed Talent & Rewards practice for Towers Watson in the North region and then with Mercer Consulting for over 9 years, where she led multiple industries for the India consulting business and managed the Sri Lanka market.
On her appointment with Mercer | Mettl, Shekhar said, "I am thrilled to be a part of the leadership team at Mercer | Mettl. I am thrilled about the new challenges and opportunities that await me in this role and look forward to working towards Mettl's success."
